Description

To assist the team leader in the execution of waste water collection works, including clearing sewer blockages

Responsibilities

• Clear sewer blockages
• Excavate and backfill trenches by making use of shovels, pick axes, rakes and rammers for the purpose of repairing sewer network pipes
• Load and unload equipment, materials and tools in the plumber’s truck
• Man and operate water pumping equipment
• Assist the supervisor with aligning and fitting water pipe sections while doing repairs

Qualifications

• Basic literacy
• Relevant experience in the general maintenance of a waste water collection network will be an added advantage
